Choose your TV below. It takes about 2 minutes and you only do it once — updates then install from inside the app.
On the TV, open the Google Play Store, search for Downloader (orange icon, by AFTVnews) and install it.
Open Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources (on Google TV: Settings → System → About, press Android TV OS build 7 times, then Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources) and turn Downloader on.
Open Downloader, select the address box and type web4player.com/apk, then press Go. The app downloads.
Press Install, then Open. web4player is now on your TV home screen.
On the Fire TV home screen, choose Find → Search, type Downloader and install it (orange icon).
Open Settings → My Fire TV → About and press your device name (e.g. “Fire TV Stick”) 7 times until it says you are a developer.
Go back to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps and turn Downloader on.
Open Downloader and type web4player.com/apk, then press Go.
Press Install, then Open. To find it later: Home → Your apps & channels.
Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Hisense (VIDAA) and most other Smart TVs cannot install Android apps — but web4player works in the TV’s web browser.
Open the Internet / Web Browser app and go to web4player.com. A big code appears on the screen.
On your phone, open the address shown on the TV and type the code. Your line goes to the TV and the player opens — no typing with the remote.
The app you used to open the file (Downloader or a file manager) needs permission. Go back to the “Allow” step above and turn it on for that app, then open the file again.
Check the spelling: web4player.com/apk — no spaces, no “www”. Make sure the TV is connected to the internet.
The download was not complete. Delete it in Downloader, download it again and keep the TV on until it finishes. Your TV needs Android 5.0 or newer and about 150 MB free space.
Android TV: it is in the apps row on the home screen (or Apps → See all apps). Fire TV: Home → Your apps & channels; you can move it to the front.
You don’t need to download it again. When a new version is ready, the app shows it on its home page — press Update now.
On a phone or tablet? Use the normal download button on the app page.
